Mr. Stein is Founder and Managing Partner of Stein Advisors LLC, a financial advisory firm that provides consulting services to public and private companies experiencing significant challenges, including financial and operational restructuring, complex contract renegotiation and litigation, and increased regulatory oversight. He has served as an Executive Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Restructuring Officer and as a director on board committees including audit, compensation, corporate governance, finance, restructuring and risk management. Mr. Stein previously served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Restructuring Officer of GWG Holdings, Inc. and as Chief Restructuring Officer of Liberty Steel Group Holdings Pte. Ltd., Whiting Petroleum Corporation, Philadelphia Energy Solutions, LLC and Westmoreland Coal Company.

Prior to founding Stein Advisors LLC in 2010, Mr. Stein was a Co-Founder and Principal of Durham Asset Management LLC, a global event-driven distressed debt and special situations equity asset management firm. From 2003 through 2009, Mr. Stein served as Co-Director of Research at Durham responsible for the identification, evaluation and management of investments for the various Durham portfolios.

From 1997 to 2002, Mr. Stein served as Co-Director of Research at The Delaware Bay Company, Inc., a boutique research and investment banking firm focused on the distressed debt and special situations equity asset classes. Earlier in his career, he was an Associate and then an Assistant Vice President in the Capital Preservation & Restructuring Group at Shearson Lehman Brothers.

Mr. Stein received a B.A. in Economics from Brandeis University and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from New York University. Mr. Stein is a Certified Turnaround Professional as designated by the Turnaround Management Association.

Jessica Kazmaier has been the Chief Human Resources Officer at Rite Aid since March 2019 leading all aspects of the human resources strategy including talent management, associate engagement, incentives and labor relations. She joined Rite Aid in 2001 in the associate benefits function and has held various human resources positions of increasing responsibility including vice president, total rewards and group vice president, compensation, benefits and HR corporate services. In this role she focused on total rewards strategy, enterprise-wide human resources policies, tools and compliance, and corporate headquarters talent acquisition and employee relations. Kazmaier also previously served as retirement manager at Harsco Corporation where she managed the companies 401(k) and pension plans.

She earned a dual bachelor’s degree in business administration and psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans.

Matt Schroeder was named executive vice president and chief financial officer in March 2019. He is responsible for managing the company’s finances, financial planning and financial reporting. Schroeder joined Rite Aid in 2000 as vice president of financial accounting and was promoted to group vice president of strategy, investor relations and treasurer in 2010. In 2017, Schroeder was promoted to senior vice president, chief accounting officer and treasurer. Prior to joining the company, Schroeder worked for Arthur Andersen LLP, where he held several positions of increasing responsibility, including audit senior manager and audit manager. He also currently serves as treasurer of The Rite Aid Foundation, as well as a member of its Board of Directors.

Schroeder holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a CPA.

Thomas J. Sabatino, Jr. joined Rite Aid Corporation as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer in June 2023. As Chief Legal Officer, Sabatino oversees the organization’s legal affairs, including enterprise risk management, compliance, regulatory affairs, and privacy. Sabatino brings four decades of experience in the legal field navigating complex business needs. Most recently, he was the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Tenneco, Inc. Sabatino’s extensive expertise runs deep in the healthcare industry with previous chief legal officer roles at Aetna, Walgreens Boots Alliance, Schering Plough Corp., and Baxter International Inc., where he was pivotal in driving large scale growth and operational effectiveness at each company. He was also General Counsel at United Airlines and Hertz.

Sabatino currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of the United States and the South Florida Wildlife Center. He is Chair Emeritus of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution and is on the Board of Advisors of the University of Pennsylvania Carey School of Law.

Sabatino earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.

Chris DuPaul is a member of the executive leadership team for Rite Aid Corporation, and president for Elixir Solutions, the company’s pharmacy benefit management (PBM) business. As EVP, President, Chris leads day-to-day operations across commercial and government lines of business, as well as Elixir’s specialty pharmacy and cash card business units. Chris also leads Elixir Insurance Corporation (EIC), Elixir’s Medicare Part D business, and serves as chairman on EICs board of directors.

Prior to joining Elixir, Chris was Group President at Myers Industries, a diversified global manufacturing and distribution company. Chris has also held several leadership positions at CVS Health, including Vice President, Pharmacy Services, and Vice President, Enterprise Innovation. DuPaul earned an MBA from Darden Graduate School of Business and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia.

As divisional chief financial and administrative officer for Elixir, Rand Greenblatt is responsible for providing business partners with value-added financial and strategic support to drive sound business decisions. In this role, he oversees the Elixir-specific elements of Technology and Human Resources, in addition to Finance. Greenblatt is a results-oriented, transformational leader with a track record of developing high performing teams and working collaboratively with business partners to achieve strong financial performance.

Before joining Elixir, Greenblatt held financial and business leadership roles at Chubb, Independence Blue Cross, CIGNA and Deloitte & Touche, focused on growth and turnaround situations.

He graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor's degree in accounting and has earned the CPA designation.

A Rite Aid veteran who has spent more than two decades with the company, Staniforth is currently Chief Pharmacy Officer. In this role, she oversees centralized pharmacy services which includes central fill, mail order and specialty and Rite Aid’s pharmacy operations, clinical services, pharmacy initiatives, pharmacy acquisitions and government and regulatory affairs. Prior to her current role, Staniforth was senior vice president, clinical and operational pharmacy services. Staniforth previously led the planning efforts and transaction services agreement for the Rite Aid’s asset purchase agreement with Walgreens and she led the systems conversion of the acquisition of Bartell Drugs in Washington in 2021. In 2014, Staniforth was promoted to chief operating officer of Health Dialog, where she was responsible for executing the strategic vision and managing day-to-day operations of the company.

Staniforth started her career in pharmacy as a pharmacist in Johannesburg, South Africa. She later joined Sandoz, now a part of Novartis Pharmaceuticals, overseeing retail sales operations for the company in Cape Town, South Africa. She subsequently joined Rite Aid after moving to the United States. During Staniforth’s tenure with Rite Aid, she has continued to take on roles of increasing leadership and operating responsibility, including regional pharmacy vice president, division pharmacy vice president and group vice president of pharmacy initiatives and clinical services.

Jeanniey Walden was appointed senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Rite Aid and Thrifty Ice Cream in August 2023 after holding the role during an interim period for five months. She is a proven marketing executive who excels in building brands and driving significant business growth.

Walden’s decades of experience span Fortune 500 companies and startups across a variety of industries including retail, health and wellness consulting services, advertising agencies and emerging technologies, such as FinTech. Before joining Rite Aid, she held marketing leadership roles including Executive Director and Senior Partner for WorldWide Email Marketing for OgilvyOne Worldwide and Grey Direct; Global Chief Marketing Officer for Mercer; and Chief Innovation and Marketing Officer for DailyPay. Other notable roles include leading marketing for NOOK at Barnes and Noble and JCPenney.

Her uniquely hybrid approach to marketing fuses traditional and digital methods with innovative and cutting-edge techniques to deliver results.

Recently, Walden was named Top Marketer of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals and is a frequent speaker on the topic of work-life integration. She also is the host of a weekly podcast and network TV show called “Liftoff with Jeanniey Walden.”

Walden earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a Master of Arts in teaching from the University of Pittsburgh.

Christine Rose is a transformational technologist with more than two decades of experience in fostering innovation leading to high performance agile enterprise teams. Her experience has focused on implementing enterprise class ecommerce (Kendra Scott), digital consumer solutions (Sephora), supply chain (Sephora), manufacturing (Finisar), commercial technology (Align Technology) and brick-and-mortar store solutions (Sephora, Kendra Scott and Ross). Since 2020, she has worked for Rite Aid, where she serves as the Chief Information Officer. Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from San Francisco State University, and an MBA in Technology Management from University of Phoenix.

Pamela Kohn was appointed senior vice president and chief merchandising officer at Rite Aid in January 2023. Kohn is a global corporate leader who has transformed multi-billion-dollar corporations to deliver improved profits, revenue growth, and stakeholder value.

Most recently, Kohn served as Chief Merchandising Officer of Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SBH). Prior to joining Sally Beauty, she was Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer of Family Dollar, a division of Dollar Tree, Inc. (NYSE: DLTR), with fiscal responsibility of more than $11 billion in revenue.

Previously, Kohn was President of U.S. Realty and Executive Vice President of Walmart Inc. (NYSE: WMT) where she oversaw overall growth and management of more than 5,000 U.S. stores and facilities and approximately one billion square feet of retail spaces. Kohn joined Walmart in 2002 as Vice President of Global Supply Chain and advanced to increasingly senior positions, including Senior Vice President of Neighborhood Markets; Senior Vice President of Southeast Store Operations; Senior Vice President of Perishable Merchandising; Senior Vice President of Global Food Sourcing. In 2011, she was promoted to Executive Vice President of Merchandising Services overseeing more than $24 billion in inventory and more than $4.5 billion in Neighborhood Market retail sales, accelerating the latter’s growth in two years from 150 stores to more than 250 stores and consistently outperforming grocery industry comparable sales performance.

Throughout her career, Kohn has diversified talent, supplier and strategic partnerships, notably serving on Walmart’s President’s Global Council of Women Leaders and establishing Sally Beauty’s Merchandise Academy to improve leadership skills and merchandising innovation. She currently serves on the board of Americold Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: COLD) and the advisory board of Pairwise. Kohn began her career at Marshall Field’s Department Stores in Chicago, IL, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Northwestern University.

William (Bill) Miller was named acting head of Retail Operations in March 2023. Miller previously served as Senior Vice President of Central Operations and has more than 30 years of experience in central and field operations in the retail, healthcare and pharmacy space. Responsible for creating a best-in-class retail experience, he leads efforts around supply chain, asset protection, workforce planning and analysis, operational strategy, facilities maintenance and a range of other initiatives that provide critical support to our retail teams.

Prior to joining the Rite Aid team, Miller served as Group Vice President for Walgreens/WBA.

Miller earned a master’s degree in Management from Bellevue University in Nebraska and holds a bachelor’s degree in Management & Marketing from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
